„Aukstata“ was approached regarding a decommissioned water tower that was planned to be converted into administrative premises. When renovating a structure and changing its purpose, a special inspection is required. Having accumulated long-term experience in the modernization of infrastructure of various purposes, „Aukstata“ experts carried out the following works for this 35 m high concrete tower:
The original construction or design documentation of the water tower has not been preserved; therefore, a 3D laser scanner was employed for project implementation. This technology was used to determine the tower’s inclination, assess structural defects, deformations, and foundation settlement, and to collect detailed dimensional data of the structure. The water tower inspection carried out by highly qualified „Aukstata“ specialists ensured a smooth start to the water tower renovation project.
